  • BA History is a 3-year course that deals with the growth and development of human civilization from ancient times to modern times. The students learn about the historical events in India and around the world. It studies the positives and negatives of all cultures and their achievements and failures through history.  BA in History is one of the top most studied courses and is taught in several colleges across India. The eligibility criteria for studying BA in History is, students have to clear their Class 12 board examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.  BA in History syllabus covers topics such as Ancient History, European History, World Politics, etc. After completion of the course one can choose to study further, such as MA in History, Ph.D. in History, etc. The course fees for BA in History range from INR 4,000 - 25,000.

    BA in History:- Eligibility 

    Students who aspire to pursue BA in History should follow the mentioned eligibility criteria to enroll themselves in colleges providing BA in History courses,

    Those who completed their Class 12 board exams from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% overall marks or an equivalent CGPA are eligible to apply.

    In Class 12 English should be a required subject.


    What after BA in History? 

    Students who complete a BA in history may choose to continue their education by pursuing an MA in history and a Ph.D. in history. They can also pursue additional specializations including archaeology, museology, and archival studies in addition to these.

    Along with learning, they can work as teachers in schools or pursue careers as archaeologists or historians. After earning a BA in history, one can begin studying for the Union Service tests because history is one of the basic subjects covered in the majority of Union Service Exams.
